Russian Imperial Stout
Sans Pardon Pure Oak
Inspired by the great classic wines, both white and red, which without exception are all aged in high quality wooden barrels, the idea arose to age some selected beers from our range in new unused oak barrels. Much knowledge and expertise is available from the producers of excellent wines. Because of our good contacts with these wine producers, a lot of information exchange took place. Something we gratefully used in the development of these beers. Things like type of oak, way of sawing, degree of toasting, maturation time and temperature all play an important role in the final taste development of the final product.
"Our gems in beer."
Brew sheet
A superior, wood-aged, full malt beer with bottle refermentation. The beer matures for an average of nine months in new wooden barrels. The robust tannic oak flavor and round vanilla notes create a very flavorful, wood-aged stout.
