Belgian Dark Ale
Embrasse Peated
2012 Zythos consumer trophy
The very first barrel-aged beer from "De Dochter van de Korenaar. The Peated Oak aged Embrasse, is aged in Islay Whisky barrels, for approximately one year. With barrel aging, the beer takes on the rich whiskey notes, and the beer becomes softer and rounder in flavor. Peated Oak Aged Embrasse won the Zythos Consumers trophy in 2011, a motivation to further our skills in the world of barrel-aging
"Our gems in beer."
Brew sheet
A superior, wood-aged, full malt beer with bottle refermentation. The beer matures for an average of 6 to 8 months in peated whiskey barrels. The barrel aging causes the beer to take on the robust smoky notes of the whiskey and makes the beer complex and full-bodied.
