Blond beer with pine tree resin
Noblesse a la Greque
As a lover of not only special beers, but also special wines, I came across the famous/infamous Greek Retsina wine early on. Its earthy/resinous taste intrigued me to find a beer, AND the right production method, to bind both harmoniously. The search for the right type of resin and its purchase took a long time, but finally succeeded. Following the example of the original Retsina producers, who used resin to seal leaking barrels and amphorae, we make our 'Noblesse à la Greque' Wood-aged with some melted Aleppo pine resin. A light (5.5 vol%) barrel-aged beer with obvious influences of pine resin, wood and citrusy hoppiness. Without a doubt delicious with Greek food!
"Our gems in beer."
