Noblesse is our brewery's first beer, intended as an 'entry-level beer'. Specially developed for lager drinkers, who also want to try something different. Because of the accessibility of the beer, you always feel like a second glass of this blond foamy beer.

Gouda Beer Price
Since 1990, eight young people from Gouwenaars have formed a group of friends who taste and describe beer that has been purchased several times a year and is now older, in addition to beer tours, brewery visits and occasionally brewing themselves. Their name: Biersyndicaat Den Gouwen Aar. Beer is in the men's genes, so they discovered the brewery in Baarle at an early stage. The Noblesse in particular was more than applauded: its fresh, hoppy and drinkable character quickly became a 'friend's beer'. Their enthusiasm about Mengerink's brews and the warm welcome from his wife led to regular declines and a friendship that continues to this day. Not averse to a bit of excitement, these enthusiasts hoped to do brewer Mengerink a favor by adding lustre to the dozed off Winter Beer Festival in Gouda with the presentation of 'the Gouda Beer Prize' to brewery De dochter van de Korenaar for its sublime beers. The boys informed organizer Pint, sent press releases to the local, national and Flemish media and the gentlemen calligraphed a self-made certificate, which was packed with laudatory text in a beautiful frame for that afternoon. It is no coincidence that Ronald himself was already present in the festival space when the entire Beer Syndicate Den Gouwen Aar, dressed in suits and in excellent spirits, hijacked the microphone to present the brewer with the important South Holland beer prize in roaring terms in front of a full house. The festival organisers were stunned: where did these people come from, what kind of price was it and why were they not informed about the content of their visit?
What no one knew was that the entire prize was a figment of the imagination of eight rowdy twenty-somethings who, out of an unerring sense of publicity, gave brewer Mengerink a larger audience in one fell swoop with their stunt. With this 'award', Ronald was able to boost his marketing by shamelessly giving this prize a prominent place in his brewery annex tasting room on the Pastoor de Katerstraat and on his freshly designed website. Many more real prizes would follow the Gouda Beer Prize....
